Company Press Crimtech launch METERDAT with Zettlex inside

Crimtech Services Ltd. of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada announce the launch of METERDAT – a unique system for automatic data logging of chart recorders for the oil & gas industry (see www.meterdat.com)
METERDAT uses Zettlex encoder technology to automatically measure and record pen position on circular chart recorders. This allows fluid flow data to be automatically recorded, communicated and analysed by a user who may be thousands of miles away The system offers increased accuracy and less cost than more manual methods, as well as more sophisticated and timely data analysis.
Zettlex’s General Manager, Mark Howard, commented “This was a tough assignment with some very stringent technical requirements for high linearity, low power consumption and intrinsically safe electronics design. I’m glad to say that the system works extremely well and has proven itself in some pretty tough conditions out in the oil fields of Canada and Alaska."
