Company Press Zettlex wins #2 contract to supply U.S. Navy

Zettlex has won it second contract to design and deliver harsh environment sensors for deployment on US Navy warships.
Zettlex's General Manager commented "I am really delighted by this second contract for the supply of our sensors to the US Navy. A UK company winning one contract for the US Navy is unusual but winning a second is really special. As with the first project, the environmental conditions that the sensors have to withstand and operate in are some of the most extreme that we've seen. There are also extreme requirements for fail safe operation and MTBF. Nevertheless, we're confident that we can deliver the units on time and to budget - the project's already well underway"

Applications include position measurement, user interfaces, servo controls & motor encoders. This covers linear transducers and rotary encoders as well as measurement of 2D displacement, 3D displacement, multi-turn angle, tilt, weight, pressure, vibration, strain and flow.
Zettlex inductive position sensors are an economical, lightweight and robust alternative to potentiometers, optical encoders, rotary encoders, resolvers, RVDTs, LVDTs, magnetic sensors and capacitive encoders.
