Technology LT Series
Zettlex LT (Long Target) Series sensors are used for non-contact absolute displacement measurement.
A small Antenna (usually a printed circuit board) is supplied with an AC electrical signal and a low power RF field is formed near the Antenna. When a Target enters that field, its electronic signature indicates the Target's position relative to the Antenna.
Zettlex LT sensors are applicable over a wide variety of geometries including rotary, linear, curvilinear, 2D & 3D. They are often used as an alternative to resolvers, magnetic or optical encoders.
LT & ST sensors perform similar jobs but generally, LT sensors are more suitable for rotary and some linear sensor applications.
Several sensors can be controlled by a single set of electronics, which can be placed remotely from each sensor.
Zettlex LT sensors are extremely robust. Unlike capacitive or optical technologies, Zettlex sensors are generally insensitive to temperature extremes, humidity, mechanical misalignment, AC & DC fields.
