Technology ST Series

Zettlex ST (Short Target) Series sensors are used for non-contact absolute displacement measurement.

An Antenna (usually a printed circuit board) is supplied with an AC electrical signal and a low power, RF field forms near the Antenna. When a Target enters the field, its electronic signature iis used to calculate the Target's position relative to the Antenna.

Zettlex ST sensors can be used in a wide variety of geometries including rotary, linear, curvilinear, 2D & 3D.

LT & ST sensors perform similar jobs but generally, ST sensors are more suitable for multi-dimensional and some linear sensor applications.

Several sensors can be controlled by a single set of electronics, which can be placed remotely from each sensor.

Zettlex ST sensors are extremely robust and unlike capacitive or optical techniques are generally insensitive to temperature extremes, humidity, mechanical misalignment, AC & DC fields.
