Zettlex curvi-linear position sensors are ideally suited to sensing applications ranging from 0,1mm to 10m where the measurement path describes a planar curve or complex surface. Most Zettlex curvi-linear sensors are used in the range 10mm to 1000mm.
Applications include rotation measurement over limited angles, gunnery sights, flight surfaces and fin servos.
Zettlex devices are particularly suitable to those applications that require high resolution and repeatability even in difficult physical environments. Curvi-linear devices offer the added advantage of only requiring a relatively small access segment to measure rotation.
Zettlex curvi-linear sensors typically comprise a passive target and a powered antenna. Either may be the moving object.
A Zettlex sensor requires no bearings or precision alignment of target and antenna.
